Mr and Mrs Ong Golden Wedding Anniversary

Thanks

Hi Mr and Mrs Ong,
It was really heartwarming to shoot for a couple that had been married for the past 50 years.
Instead of our usual 15 mins MTV, I had decided to make yours into a longer 1/2 hr video as I had realised how important each guest and relative was to you and would like to give them a little more ‘air’ time. Do hope you won’t find the video too long. :)
Once you have approved the flow/choice of footage, we’ll proceed with fine-tuning the audio and visuals before burning it out onto a DVD for you.
We’ll also need 3-4 of your favourite photos so that we may begin making DVD covers to go along with your DVD.
You may email me at flo@meoworks.com.sg
Hope to hear from you soon.

And here’s another 50 more years to you! -winks.

spore men’s chorus

Posted on: Sunday, October 26th, 2008 in: Uncategorized

awhile back, i was DOP for a short film which jeremy directed for the spore men’s chorus so today we
headed down to lee foundation theatre to catch the boys (and the short film) in action.

the one song that i really enjoyed was ‘the pink panther theme’ (u know, the ‘da-dang,da-dang,da-dang,da-dang,da-dang,da-dang,da-dang,da-da-da-dang?). they screened the opening of the movie while the boys sang(? no words leh) to it while trusting their conductor, jason ong. they were spot on with their da-dangs.

footnote: Carrie and I took half an hr to 1)spell the ‘da-dang’s 2) count the ‘da-dang’s and 3)sing it out loud to make sure.

i like jason ong. he moves while conducting like he’s doing his own solo dance. :)

Wedding Paparazzi

Posted on: Saturday, October 11th, 2008 in: Uncategorized

A yr ago, when Eileen and I first found out that Wedding Paparazzi was run by a bunch of females, successfully at that, we had always wanted to meet up with them. We knew it wasn’t easy working in a male-dominated field and we wanted to know how did they manage to do that.

We finally had the chance to meet up with them on Thurs.

Ami,
Blossom,
Eva,
Mylene.
(and Duke Orange, of course)

One thing they had in common, besides their sharp sense of humour, is their unusual names. For a person like me who has difficulties in pronoucing names…. theirs was quite a challenge, I didn’t quite dare call them by name for fear of mispronoucing it. :(

Though you could say that we were compeitors, the girls in Wedding Paparazzi were very candid and willing to share their past experiences with us. It was an eye-opening afternoon for Carrie and I and we do greatly appreciate their openness.

Hopefully, this is a sign that there’ll be greater things to come for us all wedding videographers.

ps: Duke Orange is their in-house cat, with his own facebook. absolute royalty, in a class of his own.

(i need a cat)

(Carrie continues:)
The very efficient Redhat Media guys (Eil and Melvin) tagged us non-stop on facebook with the following 2 photos so we’ve decided to share them with you too:
